About W&B McCray Foundation
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Glenda Russell, and l am the Founder and Executive Director of W&B McCray Foundation. which is a nonprofit food pantry in Lexington and Columbia, South Carolina. It was formed and incorporated in South Carolina on April 6, 2023 and received the Tax Exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service effective April 6th, 2023. It is also designated as a Charity, in the State of South Carolina. The premise of the food pantry is simple. To feed people that are hungry, to the ability afforded to the organization. Want to partner with a few small churches that are community centered and can be a
promoter in making sure that their community members are fed.
The process is simple, someone calls the church and expresses a need for food. The church will retrieve from a stock of food that has already been delivered to the church and ready for distribution.

The church will make it's own rules for the frequency of pick-up, any income restrictions, if applicable, times of pick-up as well. W&B McCray Foundation will supply the food and the rest if left to the church to do what they do best.....helping God's children.

What W&B McCray stands for....
Willie and Beulah (Adams) McCray, my grandparents, were married for 69 years and the proud parents of twelve children. Beulah was born in the Clio/Bennettville area in South Carolina and extended her humble country upbringing to Virginia, where she met Willie, a city boy from Brooklyn New York.
Willie worked hard as a city maintenance worker for the City of Newport News, Virginia while Beulah worked, just as hard, as a cafeteria worker for Hampton Institute, now known as Hampton University.
Never people to turn others away when they were in need, the McCray family fostered children who learned that every meal served started with love. Beulah and Willie loved to plant huge gardens and shared the bounty of their labor with everyone around them.
People far and wide knew of the McCray's and Adams' family and how much love they surrounded themselves with.
Willie and Beulah McCray left this world four months apart after being together for over 69 years. They left behind a legacy that would last generations and help as many people as it could.
